(QNO) - On the afternoon of October 16, the Veterans Associations from Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province, Vietnam) and Dak Chung district (Sekong province, Laos) held a signing ceremony for a memorandum of cooperation for the 2024 - 2029 period.
Over the past four years of cooperation, the Nam Giang and Dak Cheung Veterans Associations have strengthened communication, education, and organisational structures, thereby encouraging members to engage in economic activities, support each other, and improve living standards.
They have also worked with various sectors and armed forces to promote compliance with border regulations and the Border Management Agreement between the two countries.
At the working session, the Nam Giang and Dak Cheung Veterans Associations agreed to sign a cooperation agreement for 2024 - 2029 that focuses on sharing experiences to strengthen the organisations and advancing education to preserve military traditions.
In addition, the two parties will work together to discourage illicit activities, including cross-border smuggling and illegal farming, as well as promote public participation in border security.
