(QNO) - A delegation from Luang Prabang city (Luang Prabang province, Laos) led by its Mayor, Viengthong Hatsachanh, had a working session with leaders of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) on December 7.
At the working session, the leaders of the two cities shared information about socio-economic growth, tourism development, and cultural heritage conservation on both sides.
Simultaneously, Hoi An and Luang Prabang agreed to advance the contents of a recently signed memorandum of understanding, fostering a friendly and cooperative relationship between the two cities and strengthening the special relationship between Vietnam - Laos and Laos - Vietnam.
On this occasion, the delegation from Luang Prabang visited Hoi An ancient town.
Previously, representatives of Hoi An and Luang Prabang cities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on October 17, 2024, in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, to establish a friendly and cooperative relationship.
Accordingly, the two sides will cooperate, support, and help each other, and share experiences in management, restoration, conservation, and promotion of heritage values.
