(QNO) - According to data from the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2024, the province drew 4.6 million tourist arrivals (an increase of 18% over the same period last year).
Of the total, international visitors reached nearly 3.1 million (up 27%); domestic visitors reached 1.5 million (up 4%).
Local tourism revenue in the first 6 months of the year was 3,870 billion VND (up 11%) and social income from tourism reached 9,095 billion VND.
In the first half of 2024, the development of tourism products, green tourism, and propaganda activities on green tourism were promoted, notably the 2024 tourism stimulation program under the theme "Quang Nam - Heritage Green Land".
There were a series of attractive tourism events taking place in the province, such as the “Tam Ky - Sua Flower Season” festival 2024, activities to honor Hoi An’s craft features, the Tam Ky Sea Festival 2024, activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of My Son Sanctuary as a world heritage site.
