(QNO) - A national conference on tourism promotion was held in Hoi An (Quang Nam) on December 9 to review the highlights of 2024 and discuss key plans for 2025.
In 2024, Vietnam's tourism promotion achieved notable success internationally, with participation in four major fairs, nine promotion programs, and cultural-tourism events in 11 countries and 16 cities. Tourism activities have recovered with innovations in format and enhanced scale.
The Prime Minister's attendance at three international programs of tourism promotion in 2024 demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation and national branding, demonstrating the integration of cultural, artistic, and diplomatic activities in tourism marketing.
Deputy Director of Quang Nam's Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Van Ba Son, said that the local tourism sector actively joined the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in promotion programs in Taiwan (China) and Australia to tap into growing markets.
The 2025 National Tourism Promotion Plan will target high-growth markets while maintaining traditional ones.
Its key events include the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival, which will combine the Quang Nam and Kon Tum ginseng festivals to strengthen worldwide branding, and the Hue National Tourism Year, which will feature an international conference and occur in Europe.
