(QNO) -Quang Nam province welcomed nearly 6.5 million tourists in the first nine months of 2024, an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year.
Of the nearly 6.5 million visitors, over 4.2 million were international tourists (an 8% increase year-on-year), while domestic tourists exceeded 2.2 million (an increase of 3%).
This growth in tourism has led to an estimated revenue of 6.23 trillion VND (an increase of 8%) for the province, with social income from tourism reaching 14.641 trillion VND.
Since the beginning of the year, Quang Nam's tourism sector has consistently received accolades in international awards and rankings.
Notably, at the 2024 Asia-Pacific World Travel Awards in early September, the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was honored as the "Asia's Leading Regional Tourist Board 2024," and Hoi An was recognized as the “Asia's Leading Culture Destination” for the fourth consecutive year.
