(QNO) - Australian tourists have long been among the top international visitors to Quang Nam. The province's tourism industry is intensifying efforts to attract more visitors from this market.
In 2023, Quang Nam welcomed 104,000 Australian visitors. According to Agoda, Hoi An city (Quang Nam) was one of the most-searched destinations by Australian tourists for summer 2024. Meanwhile, Australia's travel site Escape ranked Hoi An 4th on its list of the 13 best global destinations to visit in September.
Quang Nam, in collaboration with Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang, organized tourism promotion events in Australia including in Melbourne on Sept 11 and an investment seminar in Sydney on Sept 13, 2024.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, highlighted that Australian tourists are keen on cultural, golf, and sustainable tourism.
Meanwhile, Quang Nam boasts two UNESCO World Heritage sites, international-standard golf courses, and diverse cuisine, while also focusing on green and rural tourism.
