(QNO) - According to Mr Dinh Hai, Director of Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, the new feature of the 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2013 is the participation of many Art groups from ASEAN countries, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and international choir groups. They will perform an impressive art programme in the open space beside Hoai river and inside Hoi An Ancient Quarter.
The three key events of the festival are: ASEAN - Vietnam World Heritages Space Exhibition, The 3rd Vietnam - Hoi An International Choir Competition 2013 and The 3rd Miss Ethnic Vietnam pageant The ASEAN - Vietnam World Heritages Space Exhibition will be held on 21st - 26th June at An Hoi Statues Garden. In an open space along Hoai river banks, many photos, objects, local specialties will be displayed in 22 Nhà Rường (Vietnamese traditional house). All visitors will have a chance to enjoy the Vietnamese folk-games, folk-arts, traditional craft occupations which will be introduced in local private working styles.
Besides, many typical photos and art works about the ASEAN countries’ cultural and natural heritages will be displayed in a common house of the exhibition. The Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2013 will be introduced in many cities and districts of Quang Nam province: Tam Ky, Phu Ninh, Đien Ban, Nam Giang, Đong Giang, too.
In Hoi An Ancient Town, the host city of the above key events, the local people and authority has done their best, created the necessary infrastructure to welcome visitors. The new 3,000 seat Hoi An Theater is in the last period of building. The city also prepared 430 rooms of 90 hotels to serve invited delegates, domestic and international guests.
The Festival Organising Board hopes through the festival’s activities, the common idea and action for the preservation and promotion of the heritage values in Vietnam will be created as well as promoting the trade mark of Quang Nam and Vietnam tourism.
