(QNO) - On December 18, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam held an online conference to review its 2024 activities and set key tasks for 2025.
In 2024, Vietnam welcomes an estimated 17.5 million international tourists, up 38.9% from 2023, and 110 million domestic tourists, up 1.6%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at around 840 trillion VND, a 23.8% increase compared to 2023.
Additionally, Vietnam's sports sector made a strong impression at international sporting events, winning a total of 1,214 international medals.
Cultural industries are emerging as a key driver of sustainable growth, with improved policies and progress in copyright enforcement. Many cultural heritages were inscribed by UNESCO, and efforts in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values have seen significant progress.
