(QNO) - The tourism sectors of Quang Nam province, Da Nang city, and Thua Thien Hue province in Vietnam joined forces to organize a tourism promotion campaign for these three destinations in Melbourne, Australia, on September 11.
Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, the Melbourne city government, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the Australia Vietnam Business Association (AVBA), the Australia - Vietnam Business Council, and nearly 100 representatives from travel companies, airlines, and press agencies in Melbourne.
At the programme, travel businesses and agencies from Quang Nam directly introduced Australian partners to new tourism products designed to cater to the preferences and needs of Australian travellers.
According to Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the programme aimed to attract more Australian travellers to Quang Nam in particular and Central Vietnam in general.
Australia is considered one of the key source markets for Quang Nam. In 2023, Quang Nam welcomed 104,000 Australian tourist arrivals. In the first eight months of 2024, the province welcomed more than 96,000 Australian arrivals.
