(QNO) - Tra Que Vegetable Village (Hoi An city, Quang Nam) has just been honored as the "Best Tourism Village of 2024" by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), making it the sole representative from Vietnam to receive this award.
Previously in April 2022, the traditional vegetable farming practice of Tra Que was officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage. This designation highlights the region’s wealth of folk knowledge and traditional craftsmanship.
With its rich history and diverse cultural heritage, Quang Nam holds immense potential to transform its cultural assets into valuable resources, driving sustainable development.
Tra Que vegetable village attracts over 24,000 visitors annually, mainly international tourists, who engage in farming experiences alongside the local community.
