(QNO) - Quang Nam province’s tourism industry has had remarkable achievements in 2024.
Receiving over 8 million tourist arrivals
According to statistics, Quang Nam is estimated to welcome more than 8 million tourist arrivals in 2024 (up 14% over the same period). It is the first time the number of tourists to Quang Nam has surpassed 8 million arrivals.
Among them were 5.5 million international arrivals (up 20% over the same period) and more than 2.5 million domestic ones (up 7% over the same period).
Revenue from tourism and accommodation in 2024 is estimated at VND9.2 trillion (up 19% over the same period). Social income from tourism is estimated at more than VND21.6 trillion.
Different Awards
Several travel units and destinations in Quang Nam were honoured by prestigious tourism awards around the world.
At the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania 2024, the Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was recognised as the titleholder of Asia’s Leading Regional Tourist Board 2024, Hoi An as Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination for the fourth consecutive year, Hoi An Memories Land as the Leading Cultural, Tourism, and Entertainment Complex in the world 2024, and the Hoiana Complex as the World's Best Integrated Resort 2024, etc.
Tra Que Vegetable Village has recently received the title "Best Tourism Village in the World 2024" from the UN Tourism.
Successfully organizing an international conference on rural tourism
The first UN Tourism Conference on Tourism for Rural Development and the second Annual Meeting of the Best Tourism Village took place successfully in Quang Nam from December 9 - 11.
The event attracted 300 delegates from 50 countries and territories to discuss many key issues of rural tourism globally.
The conference is an opportunity to introduce Quang Nam’s tourism products, thereby spreading its models of rural tourism and sustainable community-based tourism to international friends.
