Savanakhet delegation extends Tet greetings to Quang Nam

A delegation from Savanakhet province of Laos led by Deputy Governor Lingthong Sengtavanh has just visited and extended New Year greetings to Quang Nam province’s Party, government and people on the occasion of the Vietnamese New Year (Tet) 2024.

At the meeting, Deputy Governor Lingthong Sengtavanh informed that Savannakhet is the first province in Laos to deploy the development of the East-West Economic Corridor to connect the three countries of Thailand - Laos - Vietnam, thereby taking full advantage of its geographical location to attract investment and become a leading economic center in Laos.

On the occasion of the upcoming Tet 2024, Deputy Governor Lingthong Sengtavanh sent wishes for a happy and prosperous lunar new year to the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Nam province.

She said Savannakhet province hopes to promote cooperation with Quang Nam in the fields of tourism, relic preservation, human resource training and join hands to nurture Vietnam - Laos special solidarity.

Receiving the Savanakhet delegation, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu gratefully thanked for the valuable affection of Savannakhet to Quang Nam.

At the same time, he hoped the two provinces would cooperate and share experiences in developing the East-West Economic Corridor and promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
