(QNO) - During his reception for the delegation from Savannakhet led by Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee, Lamthong Khopsilavongon, January 17, 2025, Chairman of the Quang Nam People's Committee, Le Van Dung, mentioned on the cooperation and tourism development between the two provinces.
According to Chairman Dung, the solidarity and friendship between Quang Nam (Vietnam) and Savannakhet have been consistently maintained and gradually developed in a positive direction.
Over the years, the high-ranking delegations from Savannakhet have regularly visited Quang Nam for meetings and New Year greetings. Likewise, Quang Nam's leaders have made several courtesy visits to Savannakhet.
At the meeting, Chairman Dung said, Savannakhet, as the first province in Laos to develop the East-West Economic Corridor, has excelled in building transport links among Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, boosting investment, economic growth.
He also emphasized enhancing connectivity and sharing experiences in East-West Economic Corridor development and highlighted cooperation in tourism and services, focusing on preserving and promoting the values of Hoi An and Kaysone Phomvihane's ancient towns.
Mr. Lamthong Khopsilavong, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee of Savannakhet, thanked Quang Nam leader's warm reception for the Savannakhet delegation.
On Vietnam's Lunar New Year, Mr. Lamthong Khopsilavong, representing Savannakhet's leaders, extended New Year greetings to Party Committee, government and people of Quang Nam and wished for the deeper cooperation between the two provinces.
