(QNO) - A delegation from Quang Nam, led by Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh, had a working visit to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka (Japan) on October 8.
The meeting focused on cooperation in tourism development, cultural exchange, and sending Quang Nam workers to some specific Japanese localities.
Vietnam's Consul General in Fukuoka, Vu Chi Mai, briefed the Quang Nam delegation on Fukuoka's economy, culture, and society, on the Vietnamese community and businesses in Fukuoka, and highlighting potential areas for cooperation between Quang Nam and southern Japan.
In reply, Phan Thai Binh presented the province's potential and strengths and sought support from the Consulate and local Vietnamese businesses to boost cooperation in agriculture and promote Quang Nam's OCOP products.
Quang Nam, with plans to develop a pharmaceutical industrial zone and high-quality human resources, hoped the Vietnamese Consulate in Fukuoka would help the province call for investment in high-tech agriculture, semiconductor industries, and healthcare. The province also wanted to expand cooperation in some other areas, including language training, vocational training, and labour exports.
Both parties exchanged further information on investment opportunities and concrete support to boost collaboration in Quang Nam's potential areas.
