(QNO) - The Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2018 is planned to take place in Quang Nam province on June 8th. Under the theme “Keep Ocean Blue”, the event is one of the activities in response to the World Oceans Day 2018.
The Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2018 also looks for solutions to preserve seas and beaches from plastic pollution.
The main contents of the Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2018 are raising people’s awareness of the values of seas and islands, the issues relating to seas and islands in Vietnam. To respond to this event, the banners, panels, posters and slogans about the Vietnam Sea and Islands Week and World Oceans Day will be placed in public places until the end of June, 2018. At the same time, the activities of natural resources and environment protection, and pollution prevention will also be organized, including processing rubbish, planting trees, and adapting to climate change. The event also aims to ensure national defense and security for the local sustainable socio-economic development.
