(QNO) - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Quang Nam, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and other local officials visited Groz - Beckert Vietnam Co. Ltd. in Dai Loc District, Quang Nam province, on May 24.
At the meeting, General Director of Groz - Beckert Vietnam, Gerd Josef Teufel, said that Groz - Beckert from Germany decided to invest in Dai Loc in 2008 and officially went into operation in 2010. The company specializes in providing industrial needles for the garment sector.
It covers an area of more than 16.1 hectares, leased by the Vietnamese Government for a term of 70 years. Groz - Beckert Vietnam is also the largest company of Groz - Beckert with modern technology and a large production scale.
Groz - Beckert Vietnam currently has 2 factories, the first of which has been operating since 2010, and the other’s construction was completed in 2022.
The company has a wastewater and exhaust gas treatment system. Solar power accounts for 30% of the company’s electricity.
In 2023, Groz - Beckert Vietnam exported 300 tons of its products. Total revenue reached about 35.8 million EUR, and tax payments for the State were about 0.5 million EUR.
According to Gerd Josef Teufel, the company currently has 932 workers, 90% of whom are from Dai Loc. In the near future, Groz - Beckert Vietnam will recruit about 1,500 workers for the second factory.
Mr. Teufel also affirmed that choosing Dai Loc as a place to invest is the right decision. The company regularly receives support from local authorities. However, he hoped Quang Nam would create more favorable conditions for his company in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Triet expressed his delight with the presence of Groz - Beckert Vietnam in Dai Loc, contributing to the State budget, creating stable jobs for local people, and protecting the environment in its production.
Secretary Triet hoped the company would expand its production, attract more local labourers, pay attention to issues, such as workplace health and safety, and create a friendly working environment.
