(QNO) - On October 18, Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, had a working session with a delegation from the Juridical Foundation for International Personnel Management (IPM), led by Chairman Ikeda Hideto.
At the meeting, IPM proposed continuing to fund the installation of solar power systems and promoting international cultural exchanges for high school students in some mountainous schools.
The working session also discussed support activities for Quang Nam workers who want to work in Japan, including providing non-refundable financial assistance for ethnics working in Japan.
Nguyen Cong Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, has announced that, with authorisation from the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, the department will collaborate with IPM to install solar panels valued at VND 160 million at Ngoc Le and Tra Vinh schools in Nam Tra My during the years 2025 and 2026.
Additionally, he has urged the provincial government to grant permission for the department to engage in discussions regarding the details of a cultural exchange prior to finalising the cooperation memorandum.
Deputy Chairman Tran Anh Tuan authorised the DET and the Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (DLISA) to finalise and sign cooperation agreements with IPM. He stressed proper beneficiary identification, accountability, and regular reporting on project effectiveness.
DLISA is responsible for assessing worker needs and negotiating support policies with IPM, including wages, living conditions, welfare, and worker management in Japan.
Both departments must coordinate with IPM to create detailed plans and report regularly to the provincial government for guidance.
