(QNO) - Two of Vietnam's eight world heritage sites are located in Quang Nam, which adds to the province's allure and uniqueness. They are Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.
The ancient town of Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary were recognized as UNESCO world cultural heritages on December 1 and 4, 1999, respectively. They are Vietnam's treasures, the sources of pride for both Quang Nam residents and all of the Vietnamese.
Quang Nam’s two world heritage sites present both opportunities and challenges, requiring a balance of tourism development, environmental protection, and heritage conservation.
Besides, Quang Nam boasts the UNESCO-recognized Cu Lao Cham-Hoi An Biosphere Reserve. It is known for its pristine beaches and unique rock formations.
Quang Nam is more and more attractive to visitors not just for its stunning landscapes but also for its rich culinary delights, like Cao Lau, My Quang (Quang noodles), crab sticky rice, and crispy rice paper.
The warmth of its locals adds to the charm of the province. People there are friendly, easygoing, and using a unique, instantly recognizable dialect, which makes visitors feel right at home.
