(QNO) - A series of activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hoi An Ancient Town being recognized as a World Heritage Site (1999 December, 4 - 2024 December, 4) will take place in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.
Activities will include a parade celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hoi An's recognition as a UNESCO's World Heritage Site, the "Heritage of Hoi An in paintings" exhibition by artist Luu Cong Nhan, a photo display featuring various themes about Hoi An, etc.
Besides, Hoi An also organizes competitions, cross-country tournaments, the launch of a commercial civilized street, etc.
These activities aim to introduce and promote the cultural heritage, reaffirm the role of cultural heritage in the socio-economic development of Hoi An city.
The initiatives also focus on preserving and enhancing the value of Hoi An's World Cultural Heritage, while boosting its appeal as a destination for both domestic and international tourists.
Notably, on December 4, Hoi An city will offer free entry to the ancient town for visitors.
