Tourism makes rural villages in Vietnam livable places

Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, stated at the conference that Vietnam is focusing on rural tourism development, leveraging its 70% rural population to diversify domestic tourism and boost rural development.

Thanks to tourism, underdeveloped areas turn into livable villages; cultural and ecological values are preserved; and there is a reduction of the urban-rural income gap.

Quang Nam Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet reaffirmed the provincial commitment to sustainable tourism, driven by its rich resources and UNESCO world heritage sites, Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.
