Prime Minister calls on Adani Group to invest in Chu Lai airport

(QNO) - On the occasion of his state visit to India, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, the largest private sector power transmission company in India, in New Delhi on the morning of July 31st.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of cooperation issues, including investment in key infrastructure projects in Vietnam, such as Lien Chieu port (Danang City), Chu Lai airport (Quang Nam province), and others.

Appreciating the development potential of Chu Lai airport, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his desire that the Adani Group, along with Vietnamese partners, would jointly invest in and develop Chu Lai airport into a modern international aviation hub, contributing to the socio-economic development of Central Vietnam.

The Prime Minister talked about the growth orientation of Chu Lai airport. It will become an international air transit hub with a strategic position in Vietnam and the region.

Chu Lai airport, with its advantageous geographic location and convenient transportation connections, can develop into an important air transit hub, especially for flights to and from Asian countries, including India and China.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the Vietnamese government will create all favourable conditions for investors, including the Adani Group, to invest in Chu Lai airport.

It is known that Adani Group is India's largest conglomerate specialising in infrastructure and energy. The group operates 7 airports and owns 14 of the largest private seaports in India, accounting for 25% of the country's seaport capacity. Additionally, it is the largest energy company in India.
