(QNO) - According to the implementation plan for the Master Plan on the Development of the National Airport and Airfield System for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the planning works on 30 airports in the period 2021 - 2025.
Chu Lai is among 14 international airports, along with Van Don, Cat Bi, Noi Bai, Tho Xuan, Vinh, Phu Bai, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Lien Khuong, Long Thanh, Tan Son Nhat, Can Tho, and Phu Quoc.
The planning will focus on Cao Bang Airport, the second airport in the capital city, and Hai Phong International Airport in the period 2026 - 2030.
The goal of the implementation plan is to raise awareness and promote actions in implementing Decision No. 648 dated June 7, 2023 by the Prime Minister, which approved the Master Plan mentioned above.
At the same time, it aims to identify tasks, solutions, methods, project portfolios, and resources for implementation in each phase from now to 2030, in accordance with the conditions of various ministries, sectors, and localities.
It also defines the responsibilities of each party in implementing the airport system planning.
