(QNO) - On the morning of December 4th, the People's Committee of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) organised a parade to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognised as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site (December 4th, 1999- 2024).
Hundreds of cyclos, bicycles, and electric vehicles, symbols of Hoi An’s tourism, paraded through the city centre to mark this significant milestone for the ancient town.
The event honoured heritage values, promoted Hoi An people, culture, and heritage to visitors and the public, and encouraged the community to preserve the heritage for future generations.
After the parade, the Hoi An city People's Committee held a ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of Hoi An as a UNESCO world heritage, honouring those who contributed to the preservation and promotion of the heritage.
