(QNO) - More and more booths for local OCOP (One Commume, One Product) products and handicrafts are set up at tourist attractions in Quang Nam, providing convenient shopping options for visitors.
There are currently three main souvenir shops in the My Son Sanctuary. They display OCOP items and unique local specialities. The booth near Khe The Bridge showcases nearly 200 products, including handicrafts, OCOP items, and local specialities, serving visitors to the My Son Sanctuary.
It is considered a place to promote local products to the public at home and abroad.
The Hoi An OCOP Centre has recently been launched in the ancient quarter, showcasing nearly 100 product lines, including OCOP items, local handicrafts, and specialities such as recycled wood animal figurines, Thanh Ha ceramics, Cam Kim sedge mats, Cam Thanh bamboo items, lion heads, masks, and recycled paper products.
They are very attractive to visitors, especially foreigners, and align with green tourism and sustainable development trends.
Promoting OCOP products through tourism is an effective strategy for on-the-spot export, helping local goods reach international markets, enhancing destination branding, visitor experience, and rural economic growth.
Linking OCOP products with tourism benefits all parties. It diversifies goods at tourist sites, helps OCOP producers sell more easily, and provides visitors with convenient local souvenirs.
