(QNO) - Janialid, a Frenchwoman, was excited to experience Tet traditions in Vietnam. Making bánh chưng and bánh tét exceeded her expectations.
Visiting Hoi An during the days leading up to Tet, many international tourists in the Ancient Town were drawn to this activity. After learning it was a traditional Vietnamese New Year preparation, they eagerly expressed a desire to join in.
First-time participants found making bánh chưng and bánh tét (the Vietnamese traditional food made with pork, mung bean, and sticky rice, wrapped in green leaves and then boiled) challenging but ultimately they succeeded.

For foreigners, this activity brought them great joy and unforgettable memories. Several visitors stayed up all night to oversee the cooking, chat, and personally deliver cakes to people in need. A few even wanted to take cakes home as souvenirs.
Around 1,000 bánh chưng and bánh tét were delivered to those in need in Hoi An and nearby areas. The activity also provided international visitors with a deeper cultural experience.
