Indian Ambassador in Vietnam visits My Son Sanctuary

(QNO) - On January 3, 2025, Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam of the Republic of India, along with his spouse, visited My Son Sanctuary.

Indian Ambassador Sandeep Arya highly appreciated the cooperation between India and Quang Nam province including the My Son Sanctuary Cultural Heritage Management Board, which led to the successful restoration of groups A, H, and K. He also discussed issues related to the upcoming cooperation project to restore group F.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the My Son Sanctuary Cultural Heritage Management Board, requested the Indian Ambassador to continue supporting the restoration of temple groups such as groups E, F, and A’.

Group F is one of the early Shaivism architectural complexes, dating from the 7th-8th to the 10th-11th centuries. It serves as an important testament to the development of architecture and sculptural art at the My Son Sanctuary in particular and the Champa civilization in general.
