(QNO) - Several traditional craft villages in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) are adopting automation and digitalization in production and business, helping to create high-quality, well-designed products and expanding their market reach.
Mr. Le Van Nhat, owner of a traditional pottery workshop in Thanh Ha ward, shared, he used to rely on weather conditions and charcoal to dry and burn the products.
In the past five years, Mr. Nhat invested 300 million VND in automation, including electric kilns, drying ovens, and vacuum machines. Since then, he has produced more satisfactory products. Additionally, using electric kilns has helped reduce environmental pollution.
In addition, he creates a website and social media accounts, such as Zalo and Facebook, to promote his goods.
Mr. Vo Duc Thi, the owner of a traditional woodworking workshop in Kim Bong, shared his workshop produces handcrafted wood items from various types of wood such as do bau, jackfruit, and sen trees to create products like statues, paintings, and tablets for sale to tourists.
In recent years, Mr. Thi has applied CNC automation in production, resulting in products that are not only visually appealing but also of high quality and time-saving.
