(QNO) - GuruWalk - a global provider of free walking tours, has revealed its list of the top 100 cities worldwide to discover on foot, with Hoi An's ancient town securing the 87th spot.
According to GuruWalk's description, Hoi An is "an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to the 19th century" and "known for its old town illuminated by colorful lanterns, unique architecture, and custom tailoring".
In Vietnam, other cities on this list include Hanoi (ranked 42) and Ho Chi Minh City (ranked 99).
The top 10 leading destinations on the list are all located in Europe and are renowned beautiful cities worldwide: Rome, Florence (Italy); Budapest (Hungary); Barcelona, Madrid (Spain); Lisbon, Porto (Portugal); Prague (Czech Republic); Amsterdam (Netherlands); London (United Kingdom).
The list of 100 cities was compiled based on booking and search data from 800 cities in 120 countries on the GuruWalk website from April 2023 to April 2024.
