Fostering Quang Nam – Yongin friendly cooperation

(QNO) - On the morning of February 26, a delegation from Yongin city, Gyeonggi province (South Korea), led by Mayor Lee Sang-il, had a working visit to Quang Nam. Quang Nam leaders, including Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Le Van Dung, received the South Korean delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Dung talked about the establishment of the friendly and cooperative relationship between Quang Nam and South Korean localities and organizations in recent times, such as Tam Ky city and Dalseo district (Daegu city), Nam Tra My and Hamyang district (Gyeong Sangnam province).

Besides, many South Korean enterprises, including Panko and Hyosung, have invested in successful projects in Tam Thang Industrial Park (Tam Ky city, Quang Nam).

In addition, the Government of South Korea has provided Quang Nam with various projects in the fields of health and education, such as the Vietnam - South Korea Friendship Children's Hospital, Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

In particular, Quang Nam and Yongin signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a friendly and cooperative relationship in 2013.

So, Chairman Dung hoped the Yongin city leaders’ visit will strengthen the cooperative opportunities between the two sides, especially in the field of tourism.

Mayor of Yongin city, Lee Sang-il, thanked Quang Nam leaders for their warm welcome and committed to strengthening the relationship between the two localities. In particular, Yongin city will support Tam Ky city to build a digital community library at the Korean International Lotus Village Education and Welfare Complex (An Phu Ward, Tam Ky city).
