(QNO) - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Foreign Language Studies - The University of Danang and SGI VINA Company Limited (a member of SGI Group, South Korea) has just been signed in the presence of Kang Boo Sung, Consul General of South Korea in Danang city.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Huu Phuc, Rector of Danang University of Foreign Language Studies, said the MoU opens up more opportunities for both sides. The university can send students to SGI VINA and SGI Group’s branches for their internship and seeking job opportunities.
Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae - General Director of SGI VINA Co., Ltd. said that SGI VINA is a member of SGI Group in South Korea, a supplier of magnets (made from rare earth) for Hyundai Group of South Korea and Vinfast Group to produce electric vehicles.
Currently, SGI VINA is implementing a project to produce magnetic magnets with a scale of about 80 million USD in Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
The factory is expected to start production in 2025, reaching an output of 5,000 tons of high-end neodymium (NdFeB) magnets per year, ensuring the production demand of about two million electric vehicles.
