(QNO) - A delegation from Da Nang’s Department of Tourism recently participated in a cultural festival and tourism promotion event held in Kunming and Chongqing, China.
The Vietnam tourism promotion program in Kunming attracted over 350 attendees, including city officials, journalists, travel bloggers, travel agencies, major airlines, and other local stakeholders.
A cultural exchange performance drew an audience of 800, including overseas Vietnamese in Kunming and tourism businesses from Yunnan province. The cultural space featured 40 captivating images showcasing Vietnam's heritage, culture, and tourism.
In Chongqing, the program attracted over 400 participants, emphasizing Vietnam’s tourism potential.
According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of Da Nang’s Department of Tourism, the focus was on promoting beach resort tourism, cultural tourism, MICE tourism, golf, wedding tourism, festivals, and events in Da Nang. Discussions also explored opening direct flights between major Chinese cities and Da Nang.
From 2016 to 2019, China was a key tourism market for Da Nang, with stable annual growth. In 2019 alone, the city maintained 26 regular and charter flights connecting to major Chinese cities.
