(QNO) - On the morning of November 14, the Da Nang People's Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized the forum "Da Nang Free Trade Zone - New driving force for logistics industry development in Da Nang".
The forum is an opportunity for Da Nang to gather insights and solutions from ministries, experts, and leading logistics investors.
The forum provides opportunities for networking and collaboration among businesses, investors, organizations, and government agencies.
Delegates discuss new trends and major challenges that enterprises may face in the future, aiming to gain valuable insights, build new connections, and develop innovative ideas for mutual growth.
Da Nang is targeted to become one of the major socio-economic hubs of Vietnam and Southeast Asia and a maritime economic center, forming a logistics service supply chain in Central Vietnam.
Recently, Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024 proposes the creation of a Free Trade Zone with integrated business areas (production, logistics, commercial services) to maximize the city's development potential.
This policy is closely tied to the future development plans of Lien Chieu Seaport and Da Nang International Airport, creating favorable conditions for the city to become a regional and international logistics hub. It aims to attract substantial domestic and foreign direct investment (FDI) into Da Nang and the Central Vietnam economic zone.
Additionally, the city is working on developing and effectively implementing policies and regulations for logistics services, while streamlining administrative procedures to remove unnecessary steps and create favorable conditions for logistics development.
