FDI inflows to Quang Nam remained only USD58.58 million in new investments in 2023 due to global economic uncertainties and market challenges, not local policies.
According to the Department of Finance, 37% of FDI enterprises in Quang Nam report profits, with many increasing investment and hiring.
Particularly, Hoiana Resort & Golf plans a USD1 billion expansion, creating 2,500 jobs, while Hyosung credits local support for overcoming challenges. By mid-November 2024, 201 active FDI projects have provided jobs for over 62,000 locals.
Investors praise Quang Nam’s professional administrative processes, transparent policies, and improving infrastructure. Key areas for improvement include wastewater treatment, land clearance, worker housing, and simplified project approvals.
According to Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee, the province pledges ongoing support, transparency, and quick issue resolution to foster an investor-friendly environment.
