(QNO) - The Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Nam Province reported that the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in the first six months of the year increased significantly in both quantity and registered capital compared to the same period in 2023.
Regulatory agencies have issued 7 new FDI investment licenses totaling 124.24 million USD and 15 domestic projects with over 4,245.3 billion VND in registered capital.
In the same period in 2023, only one FDI project was issued with a total capital of 1 million USD.
According to statistics, Quang Nam province currently has 198 active FDI projects with a total registered capital 6.2 billion USD, mainly focused on the processing and manufacturing sectors.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thu - Director of the Department of Planning and Investment said that this result shows that the local investment environment is increasingly improving, creating confidence for domestic and foreign investors.
