Tran Duy was born in a family with strong traditions and rich experiences in wood carving. After leaving school, he decided to develop his family career by blending traditional values with modern creativity.
His intricate wooden sculptures include iconic figures from pop culture, such as Iron Man and beloved manga characters like Goku and Doraemon.
Duy's wood carving workshop has become an attractive destination for travellers, especially foreigners. He also launched a YouTube channel named WoodArt Vietnam to share Hoi An’s craftsmanship with the world.
As a Gen Z artisan, Tran Duy brings fresh energy to traditional crafts, elevating their artistic value, expanding markets, and promoting his village’s brand globally.
