(QNO) - Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Dung, chaired a reception for the delegation from Osan city (Gyeonggi province, South Korea), led by Mayor Lee Kwon-jae on August 26.
Osan is the first locality in South Korea to set up friendly and cooperative relations with Quang Nam province, on March 10, 2004.
At the meeting, on behalf of the leaders and people of Quang Nam, Chairman Dung expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation from Osan city and Mayor Lee Kwon Jae. He stated that the Osan city delegation's working visit will contribute to strengthening the relationship and exchange activities between Quang Nam and Osan in the future.
In addition to cultural exchange activities and festivals, Chairman Dung hoped the Osan city’s government and Mayor Lee Kwon-jae support Quang Nam in promoting the province’s tourism potential, agricultural products, food, and OCOP (One Commune, One products), calling on South Korean businesses to research and invest in the medicinal industry in Quang Nam.
Mayor Lee Kwon-jae thanked for Quang Nam leader’s warm and thoughtful reception. At the same time, he affirmed that the Osan city’s working visit would continue to strengthen friendship and promote more effective exchange activities between the two sides.
Mayor Lee Kwon-jae also talked about some of the strengths in economic development, especially the semiconductor industry, in Osan city.
He invited Chairman Dung to attend the 36th Osan Citizens' Day celebration in September 2024. Chairman Dung accepted the invitation.
