(QNO) - An international award from Kotler Awards was given to a project in Hoi An (Quang Nam province) that helped traditional craft communities and artisans use digital technology to increase sales.
The 'Hoi An - the Craft Village is on Digitalisation' project won the Excellent-Digital-and-Innotech award at the Kotler Awards 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City on November 22.
The project helps Quang Nam's craft villages with digital transformation to increase sales, including embracing technology to enhance their product values and reach global markets, addressing challenges from traditional sales methods.
Hoi An has around 50 traditional crafts and villages. Many of them have been recognised as national intangible cultural heritages. These are actively preserved and integrated with tourism.
In particular, Hoi An is also a member of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in the field of crafts and folk art.
