(QNO) - On March 20, Dong A University (Da Nang) opened the 10th annual Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange with a series of exciting activities.
The event featured various cultural and artistic experiences, including music, cuisine, kimono wearing, Ikebana flower arranging, Japanese painting, and large-scale calligraphy demonstrations.
Traditional Vietnamese and Japanese folk games, such as Yabusame archery, Kingyo Sukui (goldfish scooping), ring toss, and Vietnamese mancala, were also included.
Additionally, students participated in Nagashi Somen noodle festivities, cosplay performances, anime re-enactments, and a flash mob competition with 300 high school students from eight schools in Da Nang.
The university emphasised its commitment to hosting this event for ten consecutive years, highlighting its value in helping students explore Japanese culture, people, and language.
With an increasing number of students choosing Japan for career opportunities, nearly 100 students from fields like tourism, Japanese studies, nursing, automotive engineering, construction, electronics, food technology, nutrition, and business administration have already gone to Japan for internships and employment in the first quarter of this year.

He noted the university’s extensive partnerships with eight Japanese provinces, 13 universities, and over 130 corporations, providing students with strong career opportunities in both Japan and Japanese companies in Vietnam.
During the event, the Omdo Organisation (Japan) awarded scholarships totalling nearly 70 million VND to students participating in internships with Japanese partners.
