This forest area plays a crucial role in protecting water sources, soil, preventing erosion and landslides, and preserving the environment around the Phu Ninh reservoir.
The program to plant 10,000 green lim trees is part of GreenViet's "One Million Urban Green Trees" initiative. Over nearly four years, this program has successfully planted over 100,000 trees in major urban areas and more than 65 hectares of large timber forests in Da Nang and Quang Nam.
These efforts contribute to combating climate change, mitigating natural disaster risks, and support the government’s "One Billion Green Trees" project for 2021-2025, aligning with Vietnam's commitment at COP26 to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
