(QNO) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the World Bank on September 11 launched a US$12.1 million poverty reduction project in Quang Nam province expected to benefit at least 7,500 needy households.
The project will be carried out from 2014 to 2019 in 15 villages in the three districts of Nam Tra My, Phuoc Son and Nam Giang. It is funded with US$11 million in concessional loans from the WB and US$1.1 million of corresponding capital from the State Budget.
The project will help develop sustainable livelihoods for local people in poor villages, build local infrastructure, and enhance management capacity for local authorities.The project aims to ensure at least 20% of all poor households in the three districts have access to essential services.(Source: VOV)
