(QNO) - Under the theme “The impacts of climate change on World natural heritages”, the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP - 21) will be held in Paris (France) from November 30th to December 11th. At the same time, the 21st yearly session of the Conference of the Parties to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 11th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the 1997 Kyoto Protocol will be also held.

The documentary film named “The impacts of climate change on Hoi An World cultural heritage” produced by the Television Center for Weather and Natural Disasters Warning (CWNDW) of Vietnam Television (VTV) - one of three films of Asian countries - was chosen to introduce in the COP- 21.
Hoi An is a locality of Vietnam which has been impacted heavily by climate change. Many generations of Hoianians have witnessed and endured directly the impacts and serious results of climate change such as heavy storms, rains, floods as well as negative consequences impacted directly on Hoi An World cultural heritage in many years.
“On the film, we focused on the real images of the heavy storms and floods and terrible devastations happened in last 50 years in Hoi An city, especially in last 10 years – a decade of heaviest natural disasters occurred in Vietnam in general and Hoi An city in particular. . . Through the film, we would like to help viewers to understand more about the impacts of the climate change on Hoi An World cultural heritage. The ways of adapting to climate change, bad weather and the efforts of Vietnam and Hoi An’s residents in taking part in “the war against climate change” are main information introduced in this documentary film,” shared Mrs Pham Thi Thanh Thu, Director of the CWNDW.
