Chow Tai Fook agreed to cooperate with VinaCapital in Nam Hoi An resort project after Genting Group withdrew in September, 2012. This resort was licensed in December 2010.
Chow Tai Fook, a Hongkong Jewelry Group Ltd., one of the biggest enterprises in Asia has come to Quang Nam to survey for investment in Nam Hoi An resort.
This project is covered an area of 1,700 ha. The investors have now planned the 1st phase consisting of 27 functional areas, including a 36 hole golf course. The announced investment of the past joint -venture was 4 billion USD; but the current joint venture hasn’t announced their investment capital yet.
VinaCapital committed to the same investment in Nam Hoi An resort as Tram Lake project in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, covering 150ha, including 500 guest rooms, 90 game tables and the service areas in the Southern of Cua Dai bridge.
The investment certificate of Nam Hoi An Complex is only limited to 70 game tables, so VinaCapital proposes to increase the casino area size as well as the number of game tables.
