(QNO) - According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the number of international visitors to Vietnam in May 2024 reached nearly 1.4 million (up 51% compared to the same period last year).
China surpassed South Korea to become Vietnam's largest source of tourists in May 2024, with nearly 358,000 arrivals, while the number of South Korean tourists was over 351,000.
Other notable markets within Vietnam’s top 10 include Taiwan, Japan, India, the U.S., Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Australia.
In the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam received nearly 7.6 million international tourists, up 65% compared to the same period last year and nearly 4% over the same period in 2019.
In particular, Quang Nam province welcomed 430,000 international tourists in May 2024, an increase of 14% compared to the same period last year.
