(QNO) - According to the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, tourism data shows positive signals compared to the "peak" in 2019. Vietnam can reach the goal of welcoming 17-18 million international visitors in 2024.
In August 2024, Vietnam welcomed over 1.4 million international visitors, reflecting a 17% increase from the same period in 2019.
Among the countries with tourists visiting Vietnam, India has emerged as a major market with large groups of travelers. India is now one of the top 10 international tourist markets for Vietnam.
At the end of August, Vietnam welcomed a group of 4,500 Indian tourists, who demonstrated high spending levels. The Indian market continues to grow by 26.3%, reflecting its considerable potential.
The Vietnam National Tourism Administration perceives significant opportunities to further attract Indian tourists in the future.
The fourth quarter is also considered a golden period for Vietnam to attract foreign visitors. So, it is possible for the country to fulfill the annual target of 17-18 million foreign holiday makers.
