(QNO) - The Vietnam Economic Forum 2021 entitled Recovery and Sustainable Development took place at the International Convention Centre (Ha Noi) on December 5th.
The event was jointly held by the National Assembly’s Committee for Economic Affairs, the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
It was connected with various places in Vietnam and abroad via video-conferencing.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Quang took the chair of the event in Quang Nam.
The event’s plenary session focused on recommendations for socio-economic recovery and development in Vietnam.
Besides, there were two more issues discussed in the event, including fiscal and monetary policies on macroeconomic stability and economic recovery, and social security and human resources in the process of economic recovery.
The forum assessed the current situation of Vietnamese economy in 2020 and 2021, policies and measures against the Covid-19 pandemic, solutions for economic recovery and development.
Among them are the immediate or long-term policies on investment, export, domestic consumption, etc. that influence economic growth.
According to Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, the forum focused on not only economic but also social and environmental issues.
It aimed to provide scientific and practical evidences, based on which there would be policies of supporting and promoting the economic growth in Vietnam.
