Vietnam attends Asia's largest food and beverage trade show

VOV.VN - A total of 22 Vietnamese leading enterprises attended the FOODEX JAPAN 2024, the largest annual food and beverage trade show in Asia, with the event opening on March 5 in Tokyo.

They include businesses operating in the field of food and agricultural processing such as Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Doveco), Masan Group Joint Stock Company, An Khang Food JSC, Long Son JSC, Hung Phat Fruits Producing, and Sunrise Foodstuff JSC.

Ta Duc Minh, trade counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, emphasized that Vietnamese firms have introduced high-quality agricultural and food products at the exhibition.

Minh noted that these products have been carefully examined by Japanese importers and will make a presence in the demanding market ahead in the near future.

He went on to reveal that trade exchange events will be held as a means of helping importing businesses proceed to sign business contracts with Vietnamese firms.

With regards to export prospects in the Japanese market, Minh advised Vietnamese agricultural and food enterprises to devise their own strategy to gain entry to the Japanese market, which has set forth stringent standards regarding food hygiene and safety.

Furthermore, Vietnamese businesses are required to pay attention to issues related to packaging to comply with Japanese consumer tastes.

FOODEX JAPAN 2024 drew the participation of 2,879 businesses from 68 countries and territories around the world. The trade show is expected to attract 80,000 visitors, including 15,000 from abroad.
