V040-QNa1 and V040-QNa3 vessels are the first fishing boats in Quang Nam province to be built under Government Decree No 67/2014/ND-CP regarding fisheries development policies which allow Vietnamese fishermen to access loans for building new boats from the government’s 10 trillion VND credit package.

The 822CV, 25.2m-long, 6.5m-wide and 3.1m-high vessels will feature welded structures and variable-pitch propellers.  These diesel-electric powered vessels will use drag nets to catch seafood which will then be stored in the ships’ insulated ice compartments.

Two vessels will be built in 135 days by  the Hai Son Shipbuilding and Repairing Company of Da Nang-based Song Thu Corporation.
