During the vibrant holiday of April 30 and May 1, when crowds flocked to Hoi An, a touching story of dedication from Quang Nam’s traffic police left a lasting impression on tourists.
Nguyen Thi Thao, a tourist from Hanoi, expressed her heartfelt gratitude in a thank-you letter to the Quang Nam Traffic Police after receiving timely assistance. She shared her story via email to the official address of the Traffic Police Department.
On April 28, while exploring Hoi An, Ms. Thao couldn’t locate her motorbike in a parking lot in the old town and had no contact number for the staff. In her distress, she received support from Major Pham Quoc Vuong, Deputy Head of Thang Binh Traffic Police Station.
Major Vuong attentively listened, actively contacted parking lot personnel, and coordinated with relevant parties to help identify the location. He also comforted Ms. Thao, helping her stay calm while waiting.
Thanks to his dedication, she recovered her vehicle and continued her trip without disruption. His friendly and responsible attitude made her feel safe and cared for.
This meaningful gesture highlighted the spirit of “serving the people,” reinforcing the traffic police's role as a reliable support for tourists and locals alike.
