Quang Nam - Switzerland cooperation on sustainable tourism

(QNO) - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu played host to the delegation from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) on May 25.

The meeting aimed to discuss the implementation of a sustainable tourism development project called ST4SD funded by the Swiss Government in Vietnam in 2023 - 2027.

The project will support Quang Nam with sustainable tourism development policies, training courses on sustainable tourism, building sustainable and environmentally friendly green tourism models,  and raising public awareness of protecting the environment and preserving local culture.

Mr. Buu said Quang Nam has paid a great attention to the green and sustainable tourism development.

According to Chief Coordinator of the Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development Project Ken Wood, the Swiss delegation surveyed many provinces in Vietnam for the implementation of the project.

Earlier, Quang Nam  cooperated with Switzerland to develop green tourism in the period of 2018 - 2022.
