(QNO) - A seminar on digital transformation and hi-tech applications for smart tourism development in Quang Nam province has just been organized in Hoi An city.
Speaking at the seminar, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Quang Nam province Nguyen Thanh Hong said Quang Nam needs to strengthen digital transformation and hi-tech applications to widely introduce the land, people, culture, history, and tourism potential of Quang Nam to domestic and international tourists, as well as call for more investment in tourism development in the locality.
Currently, Quang Nam has digitized more than 10,000 data files of images, destinations, tourism products and services, more than 9,000 raw files, and nearly 100 movies and trailers in different languages about local destinations, tourism products and services, heritages, and intangible culture.
Quang Nam’s smart tourism systems include a tourism information portal, a smart tourism mobile application, a digital map, a chatbot, a tour programme, and feedback analysis and evaluation about Quang Nam tourism via social networks.
Reportedly, Quang Nam’s tourism industry is promoting the application of digital technology for smart tourism development by supporting its localities, businesses, and start-up communities to creatively apply information technology.
